ABOUT US
Youth run the show! 4-H clubs typically meet once a month as a large group, where members take on different leadership roles to make decisions and plan events. Clubs organize fun activities, Achievement Days, fundraisers and participate in various activities within their communities. There are many other opportunities available to both members and leaders beyond the club level, such as conferences, camps, travel, leadership training and scholarships. The 4-H membership year extends from September 1 to August 31, but because 4-H clubs are autonomous (they can determine many of their own rules), clubs may be active for whatever length of time suits the needs of their members, leaders and community. Most clubs organize in the fall, are active through the winter months, meeting one to four times per month, and wind up with an Achievement Day in late spring.
