Judging
Many livestock clubs, districts or regions organize judging clinics throughout the year, where members learn how to judge a class of animals or items, as well as how to present their choices. Additionally, many agricultural societies and exhibition associations offer livestock judging competitions to members.
Learn to Judge
Judging is an important life skill that teaches the process of evaluation and how to identify important characteristics that can improve quality in an item or animal. Judging can be fun and challenging, but it can also be very rewarding.
Your Regional 4-H Specialist can present a 'Learn to Judge' workshop for your club, or your club members can attend Judging workshops. Many of the Regional 4-H Judging Competitions have a judging clinic or workshop for younger members or beginners to judging.
